Amsterdam court dismisses case against BC Partners, claiming no jurisdiction

The Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal ruled that it did not have jurisdiction to rule on the request by Gerrard MIP Ltd and Gerrard Enterprise LCC for an investigation into the serious management crisis at United Group.

The case was filed after BC Partners dismissed United Group CEO Viktoria Boklag and removed Solak from the company board. The filing said that BC Partners created a management crisis with the two dismissals, abused its majority stake and jeopardized the interests of the company, minority shareholders and the freedom of the media outlets which are part of the UG-owned United Media. BC Partners denies the charges.

The court decided only on jurisdiction without considering the case in its entirety.
