Two people were injured in an attack by neo-fascists at a cafe in the center of the northern Serbian city of Novi Sad.

An N1 reporter said that the owner and a patron of the Crni Ovan (Black Ram) cafe were injured by three young men armed with brass knuckles, batons and a machete.

Cafe owner Bojan Sovljanski said all three were wearing Nazi swastikas and the insignia of the Zentropa nationalist organization. The three men demanded to know why there were no Serbian flags displayed in the cafe which is known as a gathering place for anti-fascist activists before breaking windows to get in.

This was the fourth assault on the Crni Ovan cafe over the past few months. The most recent attack was in October when the cafe was broken into and stickers of the Zentropa organization put up.
