The Serbian artists community staged a protest in front of the Ministry of Culture in central Belgrade on Monday, expressing their dissatisfaction with the situation in the country and the ministry’s attitude.
Artists, actors, writers and others blocked the intersection across the street from the Serbian Parliament for 2 hours. The protest was initiated by the Culture in Blockade group which expressed support for protesting students and their demands earlier.
Protesters said that culture is one of the parts of society that suffered under the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) regime for the past 13 years.
