
The Astra anti-trafficking organization said on Tuesday that 143 children have been reported missing in Serbia between 2012 and 2022.
The organization’s report said that 83 girls and 60 boys were reported missing between May 25. 2012 and December 31, 2022, adding that between 89 percent and 98 percent of those cases were solved depending on the year.
The report said that a total of 4,413 calls were received on the hotline to report missing children in that 10 year period.
Astra said its report is intended to help create and implement better policies on trafficking and child exploitation.
