People in parts of Serbia’s northern province of Vojvodina reported seeing an aurora borealis on the night of Sunday-Monday.
The polar lights phenomenon is extremely rare in the skies over Serbia. It was seen in the Sombor area of western Vojvodina but also further east in the towns of Vrbas, Banatski Dvor and Kac.
The aurora borealis was also visible in parts of Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
