The average net salary in Serbia in January was 82,769 Dinars or just over 700 Euro, the Republic Statistics Office (RZS) said on Friday adding that it was lower than in December.

It said that the average gross salary for the same month was 114,228 Dinars.

The average gross and net salaries in January this year compared to a year earlier were nominally higher by 16.7 percent and by 0.8 percent in real terms.

The average gross salary in January was 9 percent nominally lower and than in December and nominally lower by 2.3 percent in real terms. The average net salary was nominally lower by 1.7 percent and by 3.1 percent in real terms.
