Banja Luka-based columnist, Dragan Bursac, received death threats through Facebook, warning him not to go to Montenegro.
The threatening post said that Bursac would be shot if he ever steps foot in Montenegro. “I am very serious. I'll kill you if you ever step foot into Montenegro. A bullet to the head and greetings!” said the post by a Facebook user under the name Marko Aprcovic.
The threats against Bursac continued in the comments section, implying that the author is willing to serve time for harming him.
Dragan Bursac is a well-known critic of nationalism in the region and an advocate of anti-fascism, multiculturalism and a united Bosnia-Herzegovina. He was recently awarded the prize for the best journalist in Southeast Europe, awarded by the German Association for Southeast Europe at a ceremony in Germany’s Bundestag.
