On Thursday, Serbia's capital celebrated its patron's saint Salvation Day with the liturgy in the Belgrade Church of Ascension and the following procession through the central city's streets.
The participants carried relics of St. Petka and Despot Stevan Lazarevic together with a copy of the Mother of God icon.
The procession, led by the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Patriarch Porfirije, ended outside the St. Sava Cathedral in the city Vracar district.
