The Belgrade City authorities are no longer among the biggest Serbian power company (EPS) debtors, according to the biznis.rs portal which quoted data for September.

The portal said EPS published the list of biggest debtors in September which showed that the national electricity company is owed 23 billion Dinars (1 Euro – 117 Dinars). The Belgrade City authorities ranked 5th in August with a debt of 1.255 billion Dinars for electricity. The report did not specify whether the debt was paid or written off.

The city transport company (GSP) also dropped off the list of 20 biggest debtors in September, after having owed 338 million Dinars in August.

Although the city government got off the major debtors’ list, the Belgrade Water Supply and Sewers communal services company ranked 6th with a debt of 1.18 billion Dinars.

The list of biggest debtors includes Yumco (which produces clothing and uniforms) and Zastava Firearms.
