Belgrade Communal Police expanding into park

Local people expressed concern over the loss of the park to a small building which will serve as a station of the Communal Police, allegedly to keep children in the rest of the park safe. The local people’s concern was raised because work is ongoing without the construction crew putting up the mandatory sign detailing what is being built. A fence put up around the site was taken down allowing free access.

Locals said the municipal construction inspectors’ office confirmed that the construction was reported to them. According to them, the Belgrade city government’s portal showed that the building is 7x7 meters and 2.5 meters high with at least one parking space.
