Belgrade University dean appears in court to answer ministry charges

The dean was charged with failing to organize classes while the school was under student blockade. Draskic Vicanovic ended the blockade in July when she forced her way into the building, ordering all the students out and throwing out their belongings along with the humanitarian aid they were collecting for flood victims.

Speaking after the court appearance, she said that the charges were filed because of ministry ineptitude.

Earlier, she told the FoNet news agency that she views the summons to appear in court as just more pressure on Belgrade University, the rector and its deans.
