In the first nine months of this year 966,552 tourists visited Belgrade, which is a 75 percent increase compared to the same period last year, while there were 2,625,23 overnight stays, or 50 percent more than in this period in 2021, said the Tourism Organization of Belgrade.
Out of the total number of visitor in Belgrade from January to October, 807,113 were foreigners, 91 percent more than in the same period last year.
The 70,000 guests who visited the Serbian capital on river cruise ships in this period should also be added to the total number of tourists.
Most of the tourists who visited Belgrade since the beginning of 2022 came from Russia, Turkey, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovenia, India and Greece.
There were 127,172 tourists in Belgrade in October, of whom 109,155 were foreigners.
