BiH Ambassador to Serbia: Indictment against Dodik example of tyranny

Bosnia and Herzegovina's (BiH) Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandar Vranjes said the indictment against Republika Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik is “an example of tyranny, the suspension of law, logic and principles of democracy in BiH.”
At a meeting with Serbian Parliament speaker Vladimir Orlic the newly appointed BiH Ambassador also stressed that “the indictment against the legitimately elected representative of the Serb people is unsubstantiated and undermines BiH’s constitutional order,” said a press release issued by Orlic’s office.
The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued last week an indictment against Milorad Dodik and Milos Lukic, the acting director of the Official Gazette of the RS, over their refusal to implement decisions of the High Representative of the international community on the territory of the RS.
Orlic told Vranjes “Serbia believes that the honoring of the Dayton Agreement is of utmost importance and that, in line with this, any violation of the Dayton principles and of BiH’s constitutional order based on them is viewed by Serbia as wrong and damaging.”
He said Serbia “fully respects BiH’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as that of Republika Srpska within it,” and that he expects “the same respect regarding Serbia’s territorial integrity, which was missing during the vote in the Council of Europe (on Kosovo’s membership).”
“We want to cooperate with everyone, preserving peace and stability, which are a vital interest of the Serbian people wherever they live. This is always threatened by others - we saw that on the latest example of (Kosovo Prime Minister) Albin Kurti, who advocates a 'Greater Albania' on the territory of North Macedonia, threatening to lead the entire Balkans into misfortune and suffering,” said Orlic, adding that the international community must not remain silent on this matter.
The two officials also discussed the infrastructure projects that Serbia is carrying out in Republika Srpska and Federation of BiH, and emphasized the importance of joint work on major projects such as motorways, hydroelectric power plants and airport.
Orlic said he believes that, during his term of office in Belgrade, Ambassador Vranjes will personally contribute to the strengthening of bilateral relations between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, said the press release.
