Bislimi: At 100 km from Belgrade I was turned back “for security reasons”
Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi could not visit Belgrade and attend a conference on topics of interest for Serbia and Kosovo, reported the Kosovo daily Koha.
The Pristina media reported that, at 100 km from Belgrade, Bislimi was stopped by the police and told to return to Kosovo “for security reasons.”
Bislimi said this was “a manipulation by Serbia” Koha reported.
“We sent a request for a visit a week ago. The visit was approved. We crossed the border. We came close to Belgrade,” said Bislimi adding that they were then stopped by the police and told they could not continue their journey because their safety was threatened.
