An Air Serbia flight to Moscow was forced to return to Belgrade airport following a bomb threat for a second time in less than a week.

The Serbian police said that the passengers and crew were evacuated and the aircraft searched. The flight was ordered to turn back minutes after taking off from Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla airport when police received an e-mail saying that there was a bomb on board.

An Air Serbia flight to Moscow was forced to return to Belgrade airport last Friday when a bomb threat was e-mailed to the police.

Air Serbia increased the number of its flights between Belgrade and Moscow after the European Union banned Russian airlines from flying across its member states.
