Borrell: Get on with the job

The European Union’s top diplomat Josep Borrell said on Thursday that Belgrade and Pristina should stop their mutual accusations and do their jobs.

Speaking before the start of the summit of EU leaders, the High Representative said that the EU will carefully monitor who is and who isn’t implementing the agreement to normalize Serbia-Kosovo relations. I advise the sides to stop pointing fingers at each other and do their job, he said.

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said in a Twitter post that the Serb List refused to take part in next month’s local elections, claiming that the EU should condemn that decision as a violation of the Basic Agreement.

The agreement has been reached and has to be implemented in its entirety, Borrell added.
