Bosnia indicts three Serbs for murders, rapes during 1992-1995 war in BiH

Bosnia and Herzegovina's Prosecutors Office has filed an indictment against three Serbs, two of them Serbia's and one BiH citizen, for crimes against humanity in the northern Brcko district, the Anadolu agency reported on Monday.

The accused are Ranko Cesic, Slobodan Ljubicic born in BIH, and citizens of Serbia, and Stojan Petrovic, born in BiH and its citizen.

"The accused are charged with crimes against humanity from Article 172 of the Criminal Code of BiH during the (1992-1995) war and armed conflict in BiH, and the widespread and systematic attack of the (the Army of Republika Srpska, a Serb semi-autnomous region in BIH) VRS, police and paramilitary unites against the Bosniak civilians in the Brcko area between April and December 1992," the Prosecutor's Office said.

Cesic i Ljubicic are charged with the murder of four Bosniak civilians and illegal and forcible imprisonment, rape and sexual abuse of women.

Petrovic is charged with illegally imprisoning a Bosniak woman and raping her, threatening to kill her closest relatives.

The Prosecution plans to summon 49 witnesses, some of them protected, five experts and provide about 130 pieces of material evidence, according to the Office said.

The indictment was forwarded to the BiH Court.
