Bosniak member of tripartite Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Becirovic called on Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to turn BiH and Serbia towards the future, because the citizens of both countries deserve peace and economic development.
„Each new conflict would send the entire region back centuries. We are still treating painful and serious wounds from the 1990s, and that is why we must not allow anyone to repeat anything similar,“ Becirovic said in an interview for Bosnian media outlet.
He assessed that Vucic is „at a turning point“ and that, especially in the first week of August, he will have to show what his real policy is.
„I suggest him that we act responsibly and seriously together, and that we work together against those who threaten peace and stability,“ stressed Becirovic.
He added that „he could object a lot to Vucic’s policy, but he won’t.“ However, he wondered why Vucic never comments on the speeches and messages of Milorad Dodik, the President of Bosnia’s Serb-majority entity, Republika Srpska.
„Maybe because he knows very well the address where his speeches are written. It is indicative that Dodik’s messages are always even more radical when he returns from Belgrade,“ Becirovic assessed.
