British Ambassador pays farewell visit to PM Brnabic

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic received Monday outgoing Ambassador of Great Britain to Serbia Sian MacLeod on which occasion they discussed economic cooperation and the current situation in Kosovo.

Commenting the situation in Kosovo, the two officials agreed that peace and stability in the region are key to economic growth and development, said a press release issued by the Serbian Government.

Ambassador MacLeod said that the economic cooperation between Serbia and Great Britain has been developing dynamically in recent years and that, during her four-year term in office, she personally witnessed Serbia’s accelerated economic development, said the Government.

The Prime Minister specified that Great Britain was Serbia’s third largest partner in the exchange of services in 2022, adding she believes exchange in sophisticated branches of the economy will have a safe growth in the coming period.

Brnabic stressed that the areas of science, digitalization, artificial intelligence, innovation and biotechnology are the focus of the Serbian Government, adding that intensive work is being done on the construction of science parks throughout the country.

She said the mentioned areas are the future and directly affect the country’s economic growth and stability.
