Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic canceled a visit to the city of Valjevo just minutes before it was due to start, local media said on Monday.

The reports did not specify a reason for the cancellation. Brnabic was due to visit a vocational school in Valjevo with Chamber of Commerce President Marko Cadez and Dual Education Office chief Gabrijel Grujic who was the only one of the three to come to the school.

Earlier, local media reported an explosion at the Krusik munitions plant in Valjevo. The reports quoted a Krusik press release which said that a woman working on a detonator production line suffered injuries to her hands and face. The Krusik plant was the site of a number of industrial accidents over the past few years as well as a whistle blower scandal over shady dealings allegedly involving people close to the authorites.

There was no indication that the incident was linked to the canceling of the Prime Minister’s visit.
