Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic condemned Friday’s Stop Serbia! silent protests organized to mark 3 weeks since the collapse of a roof at Novi Sad Railway Station which has claimed 15 lives. Pročitaj više
Brnabic told a news conference in parliament the road blocks in Novi Sad, Belgrade and a number of other cities across the country were “harassment of the public”. “Democracy isn’t 20 or 50 people blocking a boulevard and a city,” she said continuing the regime practice of reducing the number of people present at protests.
According to Brnabic, the road blocks were a “well-coordinated operation from outside the country” adding that some media have portrayed the event “as a civil war even though not more than 500 people took part”. She said the whole thing is violence and bullying.
She said that the goal is to create chaos and destabilize Serbia.
