Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic refused to tell an N1 reporter why she didn’t go to Novi Sad to light a candle for the victims of the tragedy at the city’s railway station.
Brnabic, a senior member of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), decided to reply saying that it was “her personal affair”. “I don’t like someone who should answer those questions from the likes of you of all people,” she said.
She also did not answer the N1 reporter’s question why the hooligans who joined the protesters were not arrested but were allowed to riot.
Brnabic echoed President Aleksandar Vucic’s condemnation of what she claimed is a desecration of the flag.
