The western Serbian city of Cacak celebrated its inauguration as the national culture capital with a multi-media performance on its central square on the night of Tuesday-Wednesday.
Media reports said that the spectacle titled All the Colors of Freedom featured more than 100 actors, musicians and dancers performing on 400 stages and a 300 meter runway all shown on 350 square meters of LED screens and fireworks. Every institution of culture in the city was open to 11 pm with several exhibitions set up as part of the event which was opened by Culture Minister Maja Gojkovic and Cacak Mayor Milun Todorovic.
Cacak will be Serbia’s culture capital for the rest of the year with plans to organize 90 art, movie, theater, music and literary events featuring more than 4,000 artists and performers.
