A man drove his car onto the sidewalk in downtown Novi Sad on Tuesday, deliberately speeding towards people who had blocked an intersection to commemorate the victims of the November 1 tragedy in this city.
The driver drove on the sidewalk, passing by pedestrians, including mothers with children in strollers. The protesters stood in front of the car to block his path, preventing him from advancing.
The man behind the wheel of the Peugeot with Novi Sad license plates then made a phone call and proceeded to reverse, once again driving on the sidewalk and passing by pedestrians.
The incident occurred during a 15-minute moment of silence in memory of the 15 victims of the Novi Sad train station tragedy.
