The Center for Local Self-Government (CLS) said the state will acquire 100 electric buses for EXPO 2027 without holding a tender and at prices above market rate, indicating that a deal has already been reached with Chinese manufacturer Higer, whose Serbian representative is DAT Holding.
CLS said the procurement involves 100 electric buses, with half running on batteries and half on supercapacitors. The acquisition also includes charging stations and nine articulated buses.
The total value of the deal is 150 million euro, even though the market price for Higer brand electric buses, depending on model and type, is around 400,000 euro, said CLS.
