Serbia has failed to implement 33 verdicts by the European Court of Human Rights, while it has applied 40 of them, the Council of Europe (CoE) Committee of Ministers’ 2020 report said on Wednesday.
Last year, Belgrade paid 221,305 Euro in compensation to its citizens who appealed to the Court.
The reportsaid that the countries across Europe continued to carry out the Courts’ verdict despite the pandemic.
It added the Court closed 983 cases last year and that 5,233 verdicts had been waiting for complete implementation in Europe in 2020.
