Concert in Belgrade to help people in Croatia after 2020 earthquake; Luka Bazzar
Slovenian singer, songwriter, lyricist and author Zoran Predin confirmed to N1 on Friday he would participate in a humanitarian concert in Belgrade's 'Kombank Arena' on Sunday to help the victims of the 2020 earthquake in Croatia's Banija district last December.
"I feel a moral obligation to help those people who are now in difficult weather, economic and epidemic conditions. Everything suddenly fell on them, and at least lat's us put a roof over their heads," Predin said.
Many other musicians will take part in the concert.
Predin added he thought that "we have a lot of kindred spirits who think as I do. They are people of all ages, and I expect such an audience at the concert on Sunday."
In the meantime, another humanitarian event is planned in Belgrade on
Saturday.

Artists, designers and small creative entrepreneurs, in cooperation with Dorcol Platz, joined to raise money for Luka Kurjacki, a young talented writer and theatre artist, a passionate lover of comics and film, fighting an aggressive brain tumour.
There is a new therapy in Japan for which Luka is the ideal candidate. "New Year's wish is Luka's plane ticket to Japan and the first day of that therapy," the organisers said, adding the fundraising for Luka's therapy was going well but not close enough to the goal yet.
"So, visit the Luka Bazaar on December 18 at Dorcol Platz from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.," they added.
In December 2020, the Banija region was hit by devastating earthquakes, which wholly or partially destroyed 90 percent of the buildings. Those lucky enough got 15-square-meter housing containers warmed in summers, cold in winters. Many housed five people, each with three squares of personal space.
The humanitarian concert is a continuation of the activities of the 'Koraci' (Steps) society on collecting aid for the reconstruction of houses in the Banija area.
"A year after the devastating earthquake, the reconstruction is slow. In the Glina municipality alone, some 1,300 families live in unconditional housing containers, and over 300 people do not even have that. We decided to continue humanitarian activities and raise money for the renovation and construction of houses. By buying tickets, you are helping people in Banija to have a roof over their heads again," 'Koraci' said in a statement.
