Coronavirus pandemic daily regional update on February 9, 2021

Croatia

In the past 24 hours, there have been 283 new coronavirus infections and 26 related fatalities in Croatia, and currently, there are 2,329 active cases, the national COVID-19 response team said on Tuesday.

A total of 1,082 people are being treated for COVID-19 in hospitals and 93 of them are on ventilators.
There are currently 12,850 people in self-isolation.

To date, a total of 1,237,686 tests for the virus have been conducted, including 6,878 in the past 24 hours.

Since 25 February, when the first case of the disease was identified in Croatia, there have been 235,756 registered cases of coronavirus and 5,224 people have died as a consequence while 228,203 have recovered, including 335 in the past 24 hours.

Bosnia-Herzegovina

Bosnian health officials reported 342 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, along with 21 virus-related fatalities.

The country’s Federation (FBiH) entity reported 231 new cases after testing 2,519 samples for the new coronavirus. The entity’s Public Health Institute said they recorded 10 deaths caused by the virus.

The Republika Srpska (RS) region said they registered 81 new cases of the disease after testing 843 suspected samples. This entity also reported having 10 fatalities over the last 24 hours.
Brcko District health officials said they recorded 30 new coronavirus cases along with only one fatality.

Montenegro

Montenegro’s Public Health Institute said that another 10 people died of coronavirus-related ailments over the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 852 since the pandemic broke out.

It said that 1,850 people had been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in that period, including 577 who tested positive. There are 8,034 active cases in the country. A total of 66,234 people tested positive for the coronavirus since the pandemic broke out.

Kosovo

The health authorities in Pristina said that another two people died of coronavirus-related ailments over the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,528 since the pandemic broke out.

The Kosovo authorities said that 2,405 people had been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in that period, including 234 people who tested positive. There are 6,814 active cases and another 209 patients were reported to have recovered from COVID-19 bringing the total number of recoveries to 54,440. A total of 254,568 people were tested since the pandemic broke out, including 62,782 who tested positive.

North Macedonia

The North Macedonia Health Ministry said that another nine people died of died of coronavirus-related ailments over the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 2,955 since the pandemic broke out.

The ministry said that 2,863 people had been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in that period, including 476 people who tested positive. There are 6,546 active cases and another 407 patients were reported to have recovered from COVID-19 bringing the total number of recoveries to 85,846. A total of 474,280 people were tested since the pandemic broke out, including 95,347 who tested positive.
