Over the last 24 hours, five patients died from COVID-19-related complications and out of 10,712 tested, 1,005 people were infected with the coronavirus, Serbia's Health Ministry said on Saturday.
To date, COVID-19 claimed a total of 7,136 lives with a mortality rate of 0,98 percent.
On Saturday, 849 patients were hospitalised, 25 of whom are on ventilators.
Since the epidemic outbreak in March 2020, 4,811,896 people have been tested, and 731,227 samples have returned positive for the new virus.
