The Higher Court in Novi Sad ordered additional investigation for the indictment against 13 people for the collapse of a concrete canopy at the city’s railway station on November 1.
The indictment was filed against a minister and Serbian Railroads company officials among others. The court ordered additional investigation.
A panel of judges reviewed the indictment and evidence and the response to the indictment by defense lawyers. The judges decided that things need to be cleared up in order to review the basis of the indictment, the court said.
The order to investigate further was sent to prosecutors, defendants and their lawyers with no right to appeal the panel’s decision.
