The Basic Court in Novi Sad ruled that the Center for Social Stability damaged the reputation of N1 and Nova S when it aired a video which claimed the stations lied to sow hatred.
The court ruled that the Novi Sad-based NGO inflicted harm on N1 and Nova S by publishing the video which included the logos of the 2 stations and shots of their journalists who it claimed were spreading hatred through lies. It recalled that the video was aired on a number of pro-regime TV stations with national coverage as well as in a post on X in the second half of March 2025.
The court banned the airing of the video on any TV or social media and ordered the NGO to publish the ruling at its own expense on TV Pink without comment within 8 days and cover the legal costs.
The Center for Social Stability produced several videos targeting anyone who criticized the Serbian authorities. The videos were aired on TV stations with national coverage.
