Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Internal Affairs Minister Davor Bozinovic on Tuesday called for peace and cooperation in the region following accusations by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic that Croatia, together with Kosovo and Albania, is leading a military alliance against Serbia, Hina reported.

Vucic claimed on Monday that Croatia, Kosovo and Albania were working to undermine him and posed a military threat, Hina said. He stressed the alliance was clearly “not against Austria” but said he had a duty to clarify the situation to the Serbian people. Vucic added that the alliance targets the Serbian people and announced plans to strengthen Serbia's military capabilities.

Responding to questions about Vucic’s remarks, Bozinovic emphasized that Croatia follows a clear path as a member of the European Union (EU), conducting its international relations transparently.

“Regarding relations in the region and neighborhood, I can only say that, even if we celebrate Christmas according to different calendars, messages of peace and cooperation should be common to all of us,” he said after attending the Serb National Council's traditional Christmas reception in Zagreb, Hina reported.
