“From what we could read today in Jutarnji list (Croatian daily newspaper), it seems they have hypersonic missiles with a range of 300 kilometers and a speed of six Mach, which is serious weaponry, and that's all I can say. We need to continue strengthening our own defense capacities and potential,” Anusic said in Split, as reported by the Hina news agency.
Anusic, who also serves as Croatia’s Deputy Prime Minister, was asked by reporters in Split whether he had seen reports of Serbian MiG fighter jets carrying Chinese supersonic missiles - popularly nicknamed Zagrepcanke (Zagreb Girls) - and whether this was intended as a message from Belgrade.
He said that the Serbian military has in general been investing intensively in its modernization for the past ten years.
The Zagreb daily relayed reporting from the Tango Six aviation portal, stating that the Serbian Armed Forces now possess a supersonic quasi-ballistic missile with a range of at least 250 kilometers. The weapon in question is the Chinese CM-400 air-to-ground missile. According to the portal, two missiles of this type were spotted mounted on a MiG-29SM+ multirole fighter belonging to the Serbian Air Force and Air Defense.
