The CRTA democracy watchdog said on Friday that its observer mission reported organized migrations of voters at the December 17 elections.

The report said the voter migrations were big enough to affect the elections for the Belgrade City Assembly.

CRTA said that the voter migration was not legal and added that the law on residence was violated with the false residence registration. It said that voter roll manipulation was reported prior to Sunday’s vote by a number of sources with the crucial evidence collected on December 17.

CRTA observers noted organized voter migration at 71 polling stations (14 percent) in the Serbian capital. Voters were brought in from across Serbia as well as from Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia, the report said and added that observers identified the polling stations in Belgrade which were targeted for voter migration and where the ruling party saw a significant rise in the number of votes it won compared to previous elections.

Crta called prosecutors to investigate the suspected crimes committed during the elections.
