CRTA to field observers for all 10 local elections
The CRTA democracy watchdog said on Monday that it will field observers to monitor all 10 local elections scheduled for March 29.
It said that the missions will have a total of 300 trained volunteer observers with the cost of fuel to transport them covered by donations from the public.
CRTA said its 10 observer missions will have limited capacities and will move between polling stations in mobile teams and monitor the situation and atmosphere in the local environments. The monitoring will focus on gathering information about the vote itself.
It said the limited capacities means that the missions will not report turnout and vote results but will report on events during election day.
