Dacic accuses Croatia of generating hate towards Serbia

Serbia’s outgoing Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic accused the Croatian authorities of generating hatred towards Serbia.

Dacic told the pro-regime TV Pink on Monday morning that the Croatian authorities of “systematically creating an attitude of hatred towards Serbia and the Serb people”.

“This is a permanent campaign. They are interested in everything that can cause political instability,” he said.

According to the Foreign Minister the two countries should identify problems from their past which remain unresolved and work to resolve them.

Dacic’s words came after what he called a lecture by his Croatian counterpart Gordan Grlic Radman which led to the Serbian Foreign Ministry lodging a protest note with the Croatian Embassy in Belgrade earlier his remarks. Grlic Radman said that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic should decide which chair to sit own, alluding to Belgrade’s efforts to maintain good relations with both Russia and the European Union.
