Dacic gets full backing from SPS leadership

The SPS leadership and its many city and municipal boards from all over Serbia stressed that unity in the party, with its leader Ivica Dacic at helm, is crucial for the party’s future, said the SPS in a press release, adding that in January, when the electoral process is completed, a Main Board session will be held to analyze the results and further reform.

“Together with its coalition partners, United Serbia and Greens of Serbia, the Socialist Party of Serbia is ready to continue cooperating with Aleksandar Vucic and the Serbian Progressive Party at all levels,” said the SPS, thanking all its members, activists and supporters for their engagement, dedication and effort in the election campaign.

Following the release of preliminary election results, SPS leader Dacic told a media conference that the party should have a new leader.

“If it hadn’t been for my party comrades, already today I would have definitely submitted… made some political decisions,” Dacic told reporters.
