
Serbian Internal Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said that peaceful protest marches are not a problem for the police but that no violations of law and order would be allowed.

He told the pro-regime TV Pink that public gatherings to express views were never disputable. “The only thing we find disputable is whether other people, the police, institutions, property and state bodies are attacked,” he said during a visit to an elementary school in Zemun on the first day of the school year. He added that there are 1,900 police officers in schools across the country.
Dacic spoke hours before a protest march called by high school and university students in Belgrade to mark the 10-month anniversary of the collapse of a concrete awning at Novi Sad Railway Station which claimed 16 lives.
