Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said he hopes the international community will exert pressure on Pristina to prevent it from applying repressive measures against the Serbs because these can seriously disrupt not just public peace and order, but also regional peace and stability.

Commenting Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti on Monday in Brussels, Dacic said there are two possible outcomes, of which the first is for peace to prevail, and the second is for incidents to happen.

He said it was clear who can initiate such incidents, as it is clear on whom pressure should be applied, adding that the international community should work out for itself whether it wants to exert pressure on Pristina.

Serbia is fighting for the implementation of the Brussels Agreement, unlike Kurti who is using unilateral action to complicate the situation on the ground as much as possible, said Dacic.

“Kurti’s plan is for the Albanian side to take over the north,” said Dacic, adding that the Serbs will not allow to be victims of the international community’s attitude towards the outrageous behavior of Kurti who is not only trampling on Pristina’s signature, but also on that of the European Union (EU).

So far Kurti has shown that neither the EU nor the Brussels Agreement exist as far as he is concerned, or the western great powers, and that he is solely interested in Kosovo’s independence at any cost.

“Most people want what they don’t have, and, for me, such behavior is completely understandable psychologically. They are far from that, they cannot get more than 83 out of a total of 193 votes in the United Nations General Assembly,” said Minister Dacic.
