Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic told reporters in Rome on Tuesday that Italy wants to see all the countries of the Western Balkans in the European Union.
A government press release said that Italian Foreign minister Antonio Tajani told him that Italy supports the European integration of the Western Balkans. Dacic is in the Italian capital to take part in a ministerial conference on the Western Balkans. He said that Tajani will organize another meeting of Western Balkan ministers later this year to evaluate the progress made in integration.
“Dacic pointed out that he informed the participants of the meeting about our constructive approach to the agreements in Brussels and Ohrid, but also reiterated that the temporary institutions in Pristina want to avoid the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities and are doing everything to prolong it for the next period,” the press release said.
