Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) leader Ivica Dacic said on Thursday that he agreed to continue political cooperation with President Aleksandar Vucic’s Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).
Speaking after a meeting with Vucic, Dacic said that they agreed to continue cooperation in the best interest of Serbia in the difficult and turbulent times ahead. “We will continue our talks early next week and send our cooperation proposals to our party bodies,” he told Vecernje Novosti daily adding that they did not discuss personnel posts.
“President Vucic and I assessed that we reached historic results over the past 10 years that our coalition has been in place… in a word all the conditions have been created for economic prosperity and higher living standards for our citizens,” he said. According to Dacic, Serbia has political stability thanks to the coalition.
“We concluded that the Kosovo is on the agenda again and that a decision on status can’t be taken without Serbia,” he said.
