Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) leader Ivica Dacic said he spoke with Serbian President and Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Aleksandar Vucic and that they reached an agreement for cooperation between the two parties to continue.
Dacic told the Tanjug new agency that the talk lasted an hour and a half and that an agreement on continuing cooperation and strengthening the SNS-SPS coalition was reached.
Relations between the SPS and SNS worsened after the special Parliament session on Kosovo held last week. The media reported that SNS leader Aleksandar Vucic told a meeting of the party leadership that he was disappointed with the Socialists’ behavior.
Vucic told Pink TV on Tuesday evening that relations with the SPS were damaged, and announced the Wednesday meeting with Dacic with relations between the coalition partners on the agenda.
„Nothing will happen overnight. What has already happened has significantly damaged our relations. There are things I won’t say. I will meet with him (SPS leader Ivica Dacic) tomorrow. I don’t think elections are any kind of a good solution for our country. We have a lot of problems that we need to solve,” said Vucic.
