Dairy farmers told N1 that milk purchase prices had been lowered and some dairies stopped buying their milk.
Dairy farmer Predrag Veljkovic said that everything they discussed with the Agriculture Minister’s cabinet chief 2 days earlier “has been absolutely overturned” in the past 24 hours. He added that the cabinet chief called dairies and got assurances that the purchase price of milk would be raised by 5 Dinars a liter.
Veljkovic said that dairies should pay at least 75 Dinars a liter for production to be profitable.
