Serbia's Defense Minister Milos Vucevic said that Serbia is not, has not and will not sell weapons “either to the Ukrainian or to the Russian side,” noting that Belgrade has a clear policy of not selling arms to warring parties.

„There isn’t a single paper, contract, or proof that Serbia is doing otherwise, we are not hiding anything. If they have something they should show it,” Vucevic told the Serbian state TV (RTS) in connection with information reported by some media that Belgrade is supplying arms to Ukraine.

Whether or not a state that is not at war and purchases weapons from Serbia “is breaching the obligation not to resell” and so commits “abuse”, that is something that cannot be ruled out, the Minister explained.

“But that’s not a question for Serbia. Serbia is not responsible, it has not taken part in any fraud nor is it doing anything that is contrary to its policy. Our soul, our conscience is absolutely clear, calm and peaceful,” stressed Vucevic.

He said the repeated release of untrue information is “an attempt to destabilize Serbia, whether in the context of Kosovo, or as further pressure on Serbia to take sides, to prevent it from pursuing its policy of neutrality.”
