Democratic Party MP Srdjan Milivojevic said that he has no confidence in the sincere intentions of the "mafia regime" to reach a solution to the political crisis in the country through dialogue with the opposition. He told Nova.rs that there is an ongoing “clan war” within the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), which can be seen from the fact that Milos Vucevic successfully eliminated Sinisa Mali and Marko Djuric from the race for prime minister.

When asked whether the Democratic Party will attend the collegium scheduled by the President of the Assembly Ana Brnabic for April 1, he says that they must do everything to overcome the deep political crisis through dialogue, "and not through the explosion of popular anger, which may be inevitable if we do not everything in our power to articulate the citizens' dissatisfaction".
When asked if that meeting could be the beginning of a dialogue between the government and the opposition, he stated that dialogue requires two sides.
"In our deeply divided and polarized society, where one pole is the opposition, and the other is the political wing of organized crime - I have no confidence in the sincere intentions of the mafia regime to reach a solution to this enormous and threatening political crisis through dialogue. I repeat – this is not a dialogue. We do not negotiate about ODIHR's recommendations, but demand their fulfilment," he said.
Regarding the decision of the Democratic Party to boycott the work of the Assembly, he points out that they will only boycott the constituent session, "because the Assembly was constituted based on the theft of elections by the regime of Aleksandar Vucic".
"I think that continuing the boycott now would lose its further meaning. The sessions of the Assembly are the only place where we are visible, probably not to a very large number of citizens, only those who watch it live, and to a very large number of people who follow the activities of the Assembly through news programs on a small number of free and impartial media. Also, in an unfree society like ours, social networks have a significant influence, where our addresses are very visible," said Milivojevic.
