Democratic Party (DS) leader Zoran Lutovac said on Monday that the party would field candidates at all local elections across Serbia but would not cooperate with anyone working against the public interest after the vote.
“The DS has the most developed infastructure in the country and is known as an institution of democracy,” he said and added that the party has a presence in every town and city in Serbia.
Speaking at a party gathering for St George’s day, its patron saint, Lutovac said that opposition unity is the key. “We have failed to maintain that unity at present because we have different views of how the change of power will happen. That is not stopping us from being open and honest with the opublic and telling them that we are ready to do things in their interest,” he said.
Lutovac said no coalitions should be formed with the people who did things against the public interest. “Whoever wants to deal only with their own ambitions and interests should find another job,” he said.
