Tennis player Novak Djokovic’s lawyer on Friday denied media reports that his client was being charged with a crime over the alleged falsifying of a PCR test.

Belgrade media said on Thursday that charges had been filed against unidentified perpetrators who allegedly falsified the results of Djokovic’s PCR test.

Lawyer Goran Draganic said that the reports were false. “I want to tell the public that I have received official confirmation from the First Basic Prosecution in Belgrade that it has not filed criminal charges against Novak Djokovic,” the lawyer said in a written statement.

Claims of a falsified PCR test were made when Djokovic’s visa to enter Australia was revoked earlier this month. The allegations appeared after Djokovic said that he was not aware of the result of the PCR test before he attended a public event in Belgrade.
