Djuric: Belgrade needs top level political dialogue with US

We need a dialogue at top political level not just to continue the growth and development of our economy … but because that cooperation is necessary to resolve issues that we disagree on such as the status of Kosovo which can’t be resolved positively without active engagement by the top political level in the US, Djuric told a news conference commenting his short meeting with US State Secretary Anthony Blinken.

He said stronger ties with the US can only strengthen Serbia’s overall position.

According to Djuric, Serbia is changing its image in the international community and projecting a new, positive image. He said the authorities in Belgrade are trying to have a balanced relationship with international community players and have clearly defined strategicy priorities including completing all reforms needed for memerbship in the European Union.
