Serbia’s Supreme Public Prosecutor Zagorka Dolovac and European Union (EU) Ambassador to Serbia Emanuele Giaufret discussed potential cooperation between the Supreme Public Prosecutor’s Office (VJT) and European Chief Prosecutor Laura Kovesi’s Office, said the VJT in a press release.

It added that their meeting was held as part of the regular international cooperation activities conducted by the Serbian Supreme Public Prosecutor’s Office.

The meeting highlighted the excellent cooperation between the Supreme Public Prosecutor’s Office and various EU institutions and organizations in the criminal justice field, such as EUROJUST, its specialized European Judicial Cybercrime Network (EJCN), and others.

The possibility of establishing cooperation between the Serbian Supreme Public Prosecutor’s Office and the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) was also discussed, particularly in terms of exchanging information regarding corruption cases involving potential misuse of European Union funds in Serbia.

Dolovac and Giaufret agreed to continue collaboration in existing areas, expand it to new fields, and enhance efforts wherever possible.
