He added that 60 percent of the witnesses had not heard a similar sound before the event and that 1,907 statements say that it was like a fast-approaching vehicle, a jet, or 200 motorbikes. “They consistently described the sound as coming towards them, passing over them, being inside of them. So it was really described as a physical as well as auditory sensation. He said that the fact that people aren’t used to hearing a sound behave like that is also an indication that a device was used which creates an extremely distinct and rarely occurring propagation of sound.
